Storm Boy’s creator dies

Colin Thiele, who is well remembered as the author of ‘Storm Boy’, died yesterday, September 4, after a long battle with ill health. Storm Boy was one of many novels written by Colin – first published in 1963, translated into many languages and made into a film in 1976.

The NSW Writers’ Centre  annual ‘Writing for Children and Young Adults’ Festival will be on next Saturday, July 22, from 10am to 5pm at the centre, Balmain Road, Rozelle.
